Libertarian and lawyer Sheldon Katz is suing the South Burlington school board to comply with Vermont’s open meeting law. This seems like a case of a golden parachute that you normally hear about in large corporations.

Here is a letter-to-the-editor that appeared in the Times Argus yesterday by Hobie Guion. These types of letters are becoming more typical as voters are growing tired of the old parties.
Getting high can be bad. Putting people in prison for it is worse. And doing the latter doesn’t stop the former.

Not so long ago, in a country that now seems far, far away, Ronald Reagan told the nation: “we don’t have deficits because people are taxed too little. We have deficits because big government spends too much.”
Maybe it’s time for a strong third party, or failing that, another revolution.
